Alcohol ink is a highly pigmented medium which creates a maze effect. This medium is a current rage amongst artist due to its highly pigmented colors that are transparent and extremely vibrant that dry giving a polished stone effect.
Alcohol inks are widely used to create flowing abstract art, for mixed media projects, for resin coasters etc. They can be used on multiple non porous surfaces like glossy paper, metal, glass, ceramic etc.
During this 2 hour workshop, you will learn some unique alcohol ink techniques. After a brief introduction and demonstration, students will have a chance to experiment with the inks to create their own kettle and an artwork of their own to take back.

Priyanka has been exhibiting in San Francisco, Silicon Valley and India since 2004. Some of the notable exhibits have been at Dhoomimal art gallery, India Habitat Center and Chitrakoot art gallery and shows at Stanford University, Togonon Gallery, Market Street Gallery and the Triton Museum in California. Priyanka has also been invited to participate in the Florence Biennale & received reviews in the San Francisco Chronicle, Time-out Singapore, Santa Clara weekly and Mountain View voice along with Indian publications like The Times of India, Mynt, Hindustan times, Deccan Herald.
Priyanka founded Studio Chhavi based out in Bellandur where she paints customised artworks and teaches art. The creator specialises in teaching art to kids and adults.
