ABS is a community space curated for all individuals above the age of 12, to come share your story with us by diving into different forms of arts. The workshop involves storytelling with movement, visual art exploration and bringing the words from our heart to the paper. All this in the presence of a community that intends to create a holistic space for all of us to feel safe and strong in our own skin.
This is a community gathering where we will open the space to explore and express different aspects of ourselves and our life. This month we explore the theme of 'Inner Child'.
When was the last time you looked at this world with a chold-like curiosity, throwing caution and judgment out of the window and dove into arts with your entire being? Come unleash your inner child with us, this weekend, as we invite our inner child to play, create and express themselves in their most authentic avatar!
All the materials will be provided at the workshop.
HerMoveMeant – Shivangi Lakhlani
Social entrepreneur who is passionate about arts, mental health and everything in-between!
Having received training and certifications in Contemporary Dance and Movement Arts, Expressive Arts Therapy, Reiki Healing Therapy and Gatekeeper Training by the QPR Institute – an emergency mental health intervention for suicidal persons, created by Paul Quinnett (USA).
HerMoveMeant began as an Instagram page, for documenting her aesthetic response while studying for the Foundation Course in Creative and Expressive Arts Therapy. During my year of training, my experience with the medium made a huge impact on all aspects of my life. One common learning, that I carry from all my practices, is how the connection between mental health and physical health can make an impact on one’s emotional well being. Having experienced that personally, slowly, HerMoveMeant’s purpose shifted from storytelling to raising awareness about mental health. Today, we are a social startup that offers Mental Health services, to individuals and groups, through Expressive Arts Therapy, Movement and Performing Arts, and Alternative Healing Therapies.
