This #WorldDownSyndromeDay, @vanshi.with.beats invites one and all to come at @attagalatta, and be a part of conversations around disability, as she reads the moving narrative of her and her brother with down syndrome published in the book “This Kind of Child: The Disability Story” curated by @srilata_k and published by @westland_books, along with some other stories that will leave you reconsidering the joys and challenges of caretaking, and question the social construct that we have come to define as “disability.” What’s more, she will be accompanied to @artofmyoptimus, an artist, illustrator, photographer and drummer with Down Syndrome, whose presence and stories will leave you warmer than you arrived, that’s for sure!
