Group Meetup – “Let’s Talk- Poetry”
Hosted By : Deepti
17
Poetry helps expand your mind. It opens it up to new perspectives both into the known and unknown, but mostly the latter. Whether one writes it or reads it, poetry is good for your mental health. The rhythms, the words, the metaphors and a piece of the poet’s mind all interplay for an imagery that triggers emotional responses based on how one interprets the poem.
Have you read a poem and actually observed how it felt? Join the meetup whether you are a poet or have never written or read
one; it doesn't matter.
We'll be having conversations on select poems around their meanings, what they convey, what emotions they invoke. The interpretations can vary person to person.
Bring in a poem you want to talk about or want to have talked about. It can be yours or the one that has intrigued you, inspired you. You will also get a writing prompt (very very simple) to write out a few lines :) post registration.
