The Modern Vintage
The Modern Vintage is a curated show of Indie Nostalgic Films and Digital Media. The event is curated by Abhishek Udaykumar, a writer, filmmaker, and artist, and Ekta Singh who has curated experiences in Bangalore for over four years. Abhishek’s film 'eyes of a pink sun' will make its premiere at the event.
The show discusses the ‘vintage’ as a contemporary aesthetic formed in retrospect, rather than its time of making. Eyes of a pink sun use this ‘old look’ in a fashion similar to Instagram and TikTok filters. Its ‘innocent romance’ complements those ideals that capture one’s imagination when they create ‘vintage styled’ media.
The show will present independent filmmakers and artists including Vishal Bhalla, Noorhanaz Khatoon, and Neha Bhavsar. There will also be a display of selected film sequences that facilitate the event’s discussions.
Don’t miss your chance to interact with like-minded artists, forge new friendships, and explore a new realm of cinema!
