Warli Folk Art

Cafe Reset, Koramangala

Experience Hosted By: KamalpreetArts (Art Arigato)

2.5 hours Hosted in English/Hindi Group of 20
Beginner-friendly Fun for friends groups weekend plans

This experience is going to be about Folk Art something not many people get to learn or see these days. With the use of different mediums and techniques, learning to do various Warli paintings would be the highlight of this experience. Warli paintings were mainly done by the women folk in the North Sahyadri range in Maharashtra. The most important aspect of the painting is that it does not depict mythological characters or images of deities, but depicts social life, celebrations, music & dance. Pictures of human beings and animals, along with scenes from daily life are created in a loose rhythmic pattern. To add a little bit of fun to our present life, we just need to understand a bit about our olden days.
